Ellison testified that some alternatives combined categories or netted assets against liabilities, and that the main tab showed $21 billion in assets and $15 billion in liabilities while Alt 7 showed $16.5 billion in assets and $10 billion in liabilities.

Ellison testified that Bankman-Fried directed her to prepare alternative presentations, selected Alt 7, and that she sent that version to Genesis. She said Alt 7 concealed customer borrowing, lowered reported liabilities, and made Alameda appear less risky despite an unchanged net asset value.
